Hotline Fundamentals, Crisis Response, and Navigating Shelter Rules

Tuesday, July 26, 2022

9:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. (EST)

When providing crisis intervention over the hotline or in shelter, domestic violence advocates may come across a wide variety of challenging situations and opportunities to build positive relationships and rapport with survivors. Join us for this interactive training to learn fundamental skills to navigate these situations effectively.

Advocates will have the opportunity to discuss hotline scenarios and learn how to respond in a trauma-informed and impactful way. In addition, this training will focus on how shelter rules can help or hinder survivor-defined advocacy. Advocates will also learn strategies to create healing environments for survivors of domestic violence in shelter settings.
