This is an advanced training designed for experienced advocates and their supervisors. Participants will learn and practice the use of strength-based and motivational strategies that can be incorporated into all aspects of care and safety planning with survivors of domestic violence and/or sexual assault. Content is based on principles of survivor-centered advocacy and feminist theory.

Continuing Education Credits: 5.5 CEUS Please note that CEU credit hours will only be given for the hours you acutally attend training. To get a complete certificate of attendance for all the offered hours, you must attend the entire training. There are no exceptions.

Dress: Please dress casually and comfortaby. Temperatures in training environments are unpredictable so please dress in layers.
Food and Materials:: Due to grant restricftions, ODVN cannot provide food or snacks. Participants are encouraged to bring what they need to take care of themselves. There will be a one hour lunch break. Participants will be provided with all hand-outs and training materials but may find it useful to bring a laptop, tablet, pen or paper.
Refund Policy: A full refund will be given until the deadline, April 17. If you cancel your registration after the deadline or fail to attend the training, you or your agency will be responsible for the full registration fee. Sustitutions are always permitted.
