Please note: there is no electricity on these group sites so bring some flashlights and a propane stove if you want to heat something.

 Items to bring:

  • Tent (any size but smaller the better)
  • Sleeping bags
  • Food (self-provided) (fires located inside metal grills are available and allowed)
  • Flashlights (there's no electric on these group sites)
  • Clothing (bring some play clothes for the woods)
  • Supplies, etc.
  • Fishing poles?
  • Bible
  • Firewood (also available for sale at the park). No collecting of dead wood on the ground. Do not cut live trees or limbs from trees.
  • Propane heater? (there is no electric on these sites). Cooking by fire or small propane grill is okay if you bring.
  •

What not to bring?

  • Alcoholic beverages, firearms (including fireworks) and other weapons are prohibited (per Jordan Lake and Men of Armor).

Arrangement? We reserved six different "Group Camping" sites all in near proximity to each other. We are allowed to fit 12 tents (i.e., 12 dads and their daughters) on each Group Site.  So that allows 72 dads and at least that many daughters to participate.

If you prefer to be in the same "group site" with another father/daughter, please notify us in the registration. Otherwise, we'll assign you to a group site.

Parking:  Parking is included in our group campsite fee and the parking lot is right at our campsite.  If the campsite parking lot fills to capacity, there is an overflow parking at the adjacent boat launch site.

Other Items:

In the event there is inclement weather, we may call an audible and do something else fun, like having a pizza party and scavenger hunt like we did last year.

Park gates will unlock/lock according to posted hours. No entry/exit after hours (except for law enforcement or medical emergencies). There is no parking allowed outside the gate and citation/towing is enforced.

Gate hours: September- 8 AM to 8 PM
