Iowa Epilepsy Advocacy Day

Join us on March 7th to educate legislators on epilepsy.  This is a great opportunity to meet with your local legislators who represent you to share your journey of epilepsy and how that impacts your quality of life.  We encourage individuals, families, caregivers, spouses, friends, professionals and others who are impacted by epilepsy to be in attendance!

Agenda:

9:30 am   Registration and T-shirt pick-up
                *We will have new T-shirts this year. 
                        *T-shirt quantities are limited.                                                                              *Must register by February 22nd and attend event to get a t-shirt.

10:00 am Program (Legislators & Advocates to speak)

10:30 am Governor Kim Reynolds to give remarks and sign Epilepsy Proclamation

After Program: Meet with your legislators 

After Program:  Small group discussion on Advocacy 101 with Rik Shannon of the Iowa Developmental Disability Council for those who are new to the Capitol or would like a re-fresher.
