Small Business Coaching & Workshop Event

  

Purpose:             Helping Small Businesses Survive and Thrive

Where:                BSU - Student Union Building (SUB)

When:                 Saturday, October 17th 2015 - 8:30 am – 1:00 pm


One-On One Coaching Sessions:

SCORE business mentors with all types of business backgrounds will be available to meet with you, willing and able to tackle your toughest business questions.  All mentors are current or former small business owners who are willing to share tips to prevent, diminish or maybe even cure some of the current business issues that you are facing. 

In addition, you can attend up to 3 workshops being offered.  Topics include:

Workshops

  • "Ask the Lawyer" - Bring your legal questions to our guest legal staff of two Treasure Valley lawyers - John Ruft and Rick Murray. This workshop has proven to be very popular in past years.
     
  • Social Media - A employee of Constant Contact will be hosting one or two different workshops on applications of social media to your business.
     
  • Financials for Business - One of our own SCORE members will be giving guidance on how to avoid common financial pitfalls in the startup phase of your business.
     
  • Cybersecurity - Dillon Evans from Custer Security will be covering a cybersecurity topic which will undoubtedly give you some ideas for bringing your own IT and information security up-to-par.

There will be a lunchtime roundtable discussion including a business reporter from the Idaho Statesman and four small-business owners.
