This state-wide Working with the Experts is specifically designed for district teams of Occupational Therapist(s) and Teacher(s) of the Visually Impaired to provide training and support in the evaluation of and intervention with students who have ocular motor causes of visual impairment. Day one will discuss the medical aspects of ocular motor difficulties and day two will focus on integrating the medical information into interventions in your schools.
The two-day workshop will feature guest speaker Dr. Mitchell Scheiman, professor with the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. Other guest speakers will discuss strategies and suggestions for serving students with ocular motor causes of visual impairment, and there will be opportunities to review and discuss case studies.

Please note: Qualifying teams of OTs and TVIs will be able to receive a $100 travel stipend ($50 per attendee) after the training (reimbursement may be provided to attendee OR district), and there is no cost for registration.
