Please join NUSL's DC Regional Alumni/ae Chapter for a casual cocktail and networking reception on Thursday, November 16th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. EST at The Darlington House, located in Dupont Circle at 1610 20th Street NW. Event will be held in the private Library Room.

Speaker: Mytrang Nguyen ’96, Program Counsel, Legal Services Corporation 

As program counsel for Pro Bono Innovation at the Legal Services Corporation (LSC), Nguyen leads LSC's $4 million Pro Bono Innovation Fund. The program seeks to creatively leverage more pro bono and private resources in the delivery of legal aid in low-income communities. Before joining LSC, Mytrang served as the chief operating officer at the Pro Bono Institute and as director of Fellowships, AmeriCorps and Katrina programs at Equal Justice Works. She has been a consultant to foundations and public interest organizations across the country.

Earlier in her career, Mytrang worked at Greater Boston Legal Services and in the Civil Rights Division of the Massachusetts Attorney General's Office. She has volunteered extensively in the Asian Pacific American community and most recently served as the co-chair of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association's Pro Bono and Community Service Committee and chair of the Asian Pacific American Legal Resource Center, a legal aid provider for low-income Asian immigrants in Washington, DC.
