La Leche League of Maine/New Hampshire invites you to the annual breastfeeding and parenting conference, where you will find enrichment, inspiration, support, and encouragement for parents at all stages. Professional development sessions are also offered for LLL Leaders and lactation consultants. Bring the whole family—spouses, partners, and caregivers may register, too, and there are special activities for children.

Village by the Sea is a two-story facility with no elevator. We will provide a location on the first floor to park strollers.  The second-floor sessions are accessible only by stairs and an electric stairlift. You may wish to bring a baby carrier for ease of movement. The LLL of ME/NH Conference is non-smoking and vape-free.

LODGING
Condominiums at Village by the Sea for November 2 and 3 are available at a special group rate through October 4. One-bedroom half-suites are $149 ($162.41 with lodging tax), and two-bedroom suites are $169 ($182.41 with lodging tax). Call 1-800-444-8862 and refer to source code “Le Leche League” to ensure the discounted rate. After October 4, higher rates will apply. 

SNACKS AND WATER
Village by the Sea will provide water, coffee, tea, and light snacks. We encourage all attendees to bring a refillable water bottle; to promote sustainability, we will not be handing out water in plastic bottles this year.  

LUNCH
Village by the Sea offers a plated lunch to attendees. Vegetarian and vegan options are available. See the registration form for meal choices.  All lunches must be ordered by October 22. Attendees may bring their own lunches and snacks if they choose. Water and lemonade will be provided for all at lunch.
 

CHILDREN
Children and babies are welcome at this  conference, but LLL of ME/NH does not provide childcare. To ensure the security of your children, please supervise them at all times. Caregivers must be of an appropriate age. A children’s play area and a quiet rest area will be provided.

In addition to the play area, which is available all day, four structured activities for children will be offered. There is no need to sign up ahead, and no additional fee is charged.

  • Art: Parent and child creations designed to spark creativity and joy. 9:10-10:10 a.m. (latecomers welcome!) John Kollman
  • Yoga and Play:  Lindsay will teach little ones about keeping their mind/body/spirit happy by incorporating stories, yoga postures, and silly songs. Designed for children of all ages. 10:40-11:10 a.m. Lindsay McDonough

EXHIBITS
Exhibits by commercial entities, nonprofit organizations, and cottage industries will be open from 8:45 a.m. to 4:30  p.m. Our exhibitors help support the conference - please visit!


SILENT AUCTION

LLL LEADER PINS
LLL Leader pins created by the LLL Alumnae Association are available for $6 each. The pins are 7/8 inch in diameter. Pins are designated to mark years of service as a Leader in increments of 5 years (from 5 to 50) and also “Leader” (with no number of years specified). Deadline for ordering pins is October 14.

Online registration is available through midnight on Tuesday, October 30. Registrations between October 31 and November 2 must be done via e-mail/phone with the registrar. Walk-in registration on Saturday, November 3 will be available, but session choices will be limited, and no lunch will be available. Lunch orders must be placed by October 22.

FIRST-TIME LLL CONFERENCE DISCOUNT
LLL of ME/NH offers a special incentive to encourage first-time attendees to join us at the Area Conference. If you have never before been to an LLL conference, you can use a special code to take $20 off the registration fee. (Please note that the code applies only to the primary registrant. Spouses/partners who wish to attend sessions still pay only $10.) To get this discount, enter the code 1STCONF in the Promo Code box, and then be sure to click "Apply."

OTHER DISCOUNTS

  * LLL of ME/NH Area Council and Conference Committee members may take a $20 discount on conference registration (Promo Code COMMITTEE).  
 * Conference speakers may take a $10 (per session) discount on conference registration (Promo Code SPEAKER). 
 * Exhibitors who wish to attend all four sessions may take a $10 discount on conference registration (Promo Code EXHIBITOR). Exhibitors who wish to attend only one or two sessions should e-mail lllofmenh@gmail.com to make arrangements.
 * These discounts may be combined. For example, an Area Council or Conference Committee member who is also a speaker is entitled to a $30 discount. To combine discounts, indicate the appropriate total discount in the Promo Code box by using the word DISCOUNT followed by the amount without a dollar sign (DISCOUNT30, for example). Only one Promo Code per registration is allowed. Discounts may be applied only to registration fees, not to meal costs. Be sure to click "Apply" after you enter the Promo Code. PAYMENTS: Online registration requires a credit card. SCHOLARSHIPS
LLL of ME/NH offers support to ALL families. If cost is a barrier for conference attendance for you or your family, please e-mail lllofmenh@gmail.com with your request, and an LLL Leader will contact you. Thanks to generous donors, full and partial scholarships are available and are confidential. 

CERPs
Continuing Education Recognition Points (CERPs) for lactation consultants have been approved by the  International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners (IBLCE) through a providership from  the LLL Alliance for Breastfeeding Education. Qualifying topics are designated “CERP.” The CERPs fee is $10 per session for the first three sessions; for attendees wishing to take all four CERP sessions, the fourth will be free (maximum charge will be $30).

REFUND POLICY
Requests for a registration refund must be received in writing (e-mail or postal mail). Refund requests received by October 22 will receive a full refund of fees and lunch orders, minus a $10 handling fee. No refunds for lunch may be made after October 22. Refund requests received between October 23 and November 3 will receive 50% of the registration fee. Contributions and LLL memberships will not be refunded. LLL LEADER MEETING
Leaders, Leader Applicants, and Conference Committee members are invited to join us at 4:30 p.m. (after the final session) to hear some great news in the ME/NH Area and learn about opportunities for more support and learning. Bring any questions you may have about LLL. This short meeting will highlight the many accomplishments in the Area and celebrate the connections among us.
Leaders, Leader Applicants, and their families are also invited to a casual dinner/party at the nearby Area Coordinator of Leaders' home after the meeting. Bring something to share or just come! Directions to the home will be provided at the meeting.
