Overview: A Smart Manufacturing Systems Architecture ‘Primer’ for all stakeholders involved in the development and/or implementation of software for manufacturing operations. This workshop, hosted by some of the world's leading experts in manufacturing data engineering, comprises all the core architecture and technology strategies essential to developing/implementing interoperability-enabled Smart Manufacturing platforms and solutions.

Target Audience: OT and IT leaders and practitioners (developers, architects, engineers) that have experience with software solutions in manufacturing

  • Standards-Based Information Models (SM Profiles): Discover what SM Profiles are, how they form the core of an interoperability-enabled architecture and facilitate infrastructure and application portability across different manufacturing systems, allowing for a much more strategic approach to manufacturing systems solutions development.
  • Normalizing Data Sources: Investigating core methodologies and capabilities that enable the essential requirement to treat all data sources, regardless of complexity (simple sensors, cameras, manual data entry systems, PLCs, CNCs, robots, historians, DBs, etc.), as systematic inputs for SM Profiles – and as a means to enable support for ALL 9 unique production types
  • Graph-Based Modeling and Relationships: Learn how a graph-based approach to information modelling (as opposed to hierarchical models) can enable significant new capabilities for analysis, and unlock valuable insights with a much more realistic and natural set of modeling relationships (material, energy, people, equipment, networks, etc.).
  • GraphQL API: Discover the enormous value of an open, graph-based API that facilitates both, modern application development, and app development that’s completely abstracted from the complexities of disparate and differing plant floor data sources and ingestion infrastructure so prevalent in manufacturing operations. Explore the capabilities of GraphQL API and its potential to modernize application development in the manufacturing domain.
  • Material Flow: Delve into the intricacies of how products/materials move through equipment and processes, managing material flow within manufacturing operations, and beyond into the supply chain – ultimately providing a natural and powerful way of managing complex events and data structures that support standards-based reporting, regulatory requirements, genealogy, track-and-trace, etc.
  • Manufacturing Systems Modeling: Gain insights into new capabilities and patterns available to you as you develop a model for your operations (equipment, process, material, people, supply network, physical network, etc.), using the SM Marketplace as a source for models, using the SM Profile Designer to evaluate, build and extend models, and develop the graph relationships between them – enabling significantly more powerful and natural decision-making and optimization.
  • Supply Chain Data Interchange: Understand the role of this next generation manufacturing software architecture and information models in enabling standards-based (and low friction, low cost, low complexity) information exchange between a manufacturer and ‘N’ levels of suppliers

We kindly request your confirmation of attendance by September 31st to ensure your place at this highly sought-after event. Due to the limited number of seats available, we encourage you to respond promptly. Please be sure to also register for SOUTHTEC using this link. (PROMO CODE: CESMII)

We look forward to welcoming you to this insightful deep dive and embarking on a journey of discovery together.
