Dinner Presentation  "A Picture Stroll Through HVAC; the Good, the Bad and the Ugly from a Maintenance Perspective"

Presented by
Mike Gallagher
Western Allied

Presentation SummaryThis picture & comment presentation is not about maintenance per se’, but more about what the results of obtuse and oblivious design decisions will look like to the maintenance & service staff in a few years. Examples range from funny to sad to examples of how it should be done. Be prepared to laugh at some absurd things found after the fact in real HVAC systems, while hopefully learning something from the mistakes of others (who shall remain unnamed).

Presenter Bio: Mike has a 40 year connection with ASHRAE and was recently honored by being made a Fellow. He is a past president of the NE Oklahoma chapter and has served the South Texas and Southern California chapters. He twice taught day-long psychrometrics seminars at the SoCal Chapter’s spring seminar. He is currently on ASHRAE’s Standards Committee and is a past member of the Research & Technology committee, chaired TC 9.12 (Tall Buildings) and has been member of TC’s 9.1, 1.6 and 7.3. Mike was with the Carrier organization for 14 years, the last 4 as commercial sales manager for Southern California.
