Interested in the fundamentals of 'working' cows? This clinic is for you! You'll learn that not only is "cowboyin" way harder than you'd think, but that cows are smarter than they look! This one day Cow Working Clinic offers you and your horse an opportunity to learn to "track" and "rate" a cow, as well as "cut" a cow from the herd. Additionally, we have a mechanical "cow" to help your horse learn essential maneuvers. Your horsemanship skills will definitely be applied and tested, but you are guaranteed to have the time of your life!
Has you horse not been exposed to cows previously? No problem! Ed will personally supervise getting your horse acquainted with cows. Many horses are facinated by the cows and can't wait to see what they are about after the initial introduction!
The clinic fee is $200 and includes a hearty breakfast (8:00 a.m.) and lunch, along with snacks and drinks throughout the day. Auditing is also available for $30 (includes meals).
A limited number of bunk house accommodations are available for rent if desired ($35/day), as well as stall space for your horse ($15/day)*. We also offer electical hook-ups for campers ($10/day). Please contact us for more information or to make reservations.
Remember to bring items that you need to care for your horse such as: water bucket, feed bucket, hay, grain, hay bag, muck bucket , manure fork, grooming tools, etc.
* Price is based on you cleaning up after your horse at the end of the clinic. Thanks!
