Spring Trail Clinic
Saturday, April 20, 2019
It's a new trail season- and it's time to prepare for trailriding in the glorious spring growth! Having a calm and compliant mount is *essential* for a safe and enjoyable trail ride.
Master Clinician Ed Chambers teaches you and your horse to become more confident and to safely navigate common obstacles that you might find challenging on the trail-- logs, bridges, water, noise, gates, and other "scary" things. Ed starts the clinic in his large indoor arena to safely introduce you and your horse to common obstacles. Then (weather permitting) the clinic moves outdoors where he will introduce new challenge obstacles, as well as a chance to practice what you learned, while riding the trails on the his 75 acre Equine Center and surrounds. You'll also have an opportunity to learn and practice essential trail activities such as high-lining, and enjoy a discussion of trail tips such as trail camping, and trail safety.
Ed limits this clinic to 12 participants so he can spend as much time as needed with you and your horse. We promise you will be pleased with your results!
The clinic fee is $175 and includes a hearty breakfast (8:00 a.m.), lunch, drinks and refreshments throughout the day. Auditing passes are $30 and include meals and snacks (registration is required for auditors).
If you prefer to arrive the night prior to the clinic, bunk house accommodations, camper electrical hook-ups and stall space are available for rental. Please contact us for information, pricing and reservations.
Also, be sure to bring items that you need to care for your horse such as: water bucket, feed bucket, hay, grain, hay bag, muck bucket , manure fork, fly spray, grooming tools, etc.
