Join your fellow FPA of Michigan members on Tuesday, April 3rd
for a day of volunteering at Junior Achievement's Finance Park (on Larned Street in Downtown Detroit --- free parking provided). We will spend the day helping students at the center. The day begins at about 8:30 am with 30 minutes of informal training and the students arrive about 9:00 or 9:30 am. The day ends around 2:30 pm with lunch provided. We will need at least 8 "helpers".Here's what your fellow FPA Members who participated in JA Day last year had to say about the experience:
- This was my first visit to JA Finance Park. The program provides the students a very "real world" experience in working, getting paid, paying taxes, shopping and paying their bills. Some of the kids are real savers and others were spenders -- most of them learned a lot. Very good -- very worthwhile and a good experience for me.
