Our organization has been serving paralyzed veterans in Central Florida since 1977. Currently, we are assisting over 380 veterans who have served our country and find themselves confined to wheelchairs as a result of paralysis. These heroes have made tremendous sacrifice while protecting the freedom and liberty every American enjoys daily. However, now they struggle with life trying to manage the simplest of tasks.
Paralyzed Veterans of America Central Florida helps them improve their quality of life by advocating on their behalf before local, state and federal government officials, offering them opportunities to participate in adaptive sports and recreation programs, assisting them in finding adaptive housing, providing them and their families with educational materials about their disease and injuries, keeping them informed of advanced medical technology that directly affects them, assisting them find adequate employment and helping them receive the care they need through the VA medical system.
We are raising funds to offset our operating expenses through our annual charity golf tournament. The 4th Annual Jerry Dugan Memorial Charity Golf Tournament will take place on February 12, 2018 at the Legacy Country Club at Alaqua Lakes, a private golf course in Longwood, Fl.
Jerry was a faithful member of PVA for over 55 years, having suffered a spinal cord injury while in the Army in 1960.
Paralyzed Veterans of America Central Florida would appreciate anything you can do to support this effort and hope that you would consider participating through one of our sponsorship levels and/or come play golf with us on February 12, 2018.
