Pink Therapy's Sixth Annual Conference

Introduction
This year we are tackling two controversial and yet linked subjects under the heading of 'Sex Work'. The first is that we're aiming to improve mental health support for people who sell sex in various roles within the 'sex industry' who have quite frequently received appalling treatment from therapists.  The second is that some 'talk therapists' have been drawn to explore and retrain in other ways to work with people, using the body and sometimes touch. Sexological Bodywork, Somatic Sexology, Tantra, Sex Coaching and many other models which offer other, more direct ways to help people.

We want to facilitate a discussion within the profession of this controversial and misunderstood subject.  We want to explore how we can support those clients who wish to move beyond words or for whom talking therapy isn't sufficient, through the ethical use of consensual touch-based therapies and understanding the links between sexuality, sexual difficulties including recovering from sexual trauma and promote healing.

N.B. The focus for the conference is on Counsellors & Psychotherapists learning more about sex work and somatic body-work.  If space permits nearer the time, we will open up the conference to sexological body-workers and allied professionals. Email us for notification of when we do this: anya@pinktherapy.com

Early Bird registration is £160 single day/£250 both days until 22 Dec 2017. Full fee from 23 Dec 2017 is £170 single day/£310 both days.

Therapy students and therapists-in-training are welcome to register; however, there are currently no student bursaries available. We may release some discounted places nearer the time if space permits.
