How Disability Friendly is Your Workplace? 

Teri Beard, Rehabilitation Employment Development Specialist.  ADA review and recognize employers that have hired persons with disabilities.

Jason Guillory, Operations Manager for Louisiana State Parks and a disabled Iraq Vet. We honored him with the Mayor’s Commission for “Disability Employer of the Year 2019."  

Brenda Bohrer, LRC, CRC  Program Coordinator Employment Development, Employer Liason at Louisiana Rehab Services.  Hiring to fulfill government contractor requirements.  

Brenda Bohrer has a Master of Arts in Counseling--and is a Licensed and Nationally Certified Rehabilitation Counselor. She started off her career with a national rehabilitation agency where she served as the liaison between employers, attorneys, workers compensation attorneys, doctors, physical therapist and the injured worker.  She provided vocational rehabilitation to the injured workers in an attempt to have them return to a job that they could physically perform.

After working in the private rehabilitation industry for over 10 years, Brenda began working for the public sector at agencies such as Louisiana Economic Development, Department of Health and Hospitals and Louisiana Rehabilitation Services.  Her aspiration is to serve businesses by assisting them with building a diverse and qualified work force  and  helping businesses understand the financial benefit of hiring individuals with  disabilities.
