End Polio Now Dinner 

Please attend the Rogue Gateway Rotary Dinner and Auction to support the 100th anniversary of the Rotary Foundation and learn what the Rotary Foundation has done to help others, including our efforts to eliminate Polio around the world.

Rotary and its partners have reduced polio cases by 99.9 percent worldwide since 1979, when we first vaccinated children in the Philippines. In 1985, Rotary launched its PolioPlus program, the first initiative to tackle global polio eradication through the mass vaccination of children. Rotary has contributed more than $1.5 billion and countless volunteer hours to immunize more than 2.5 billion children in 122 countries. Rotary’s advocacy has inspired governments to contribute more than $7.2 billion. In 2015, Nigeria was removed from the list of polio-endemic countries, leaving only Afghanistan and Pakistan. Recently, The World Health Organization confirmed two cases of wild poliovirus type 1 in Nigeria. We have mounted an immediate response.
