Biological Control
Join us as we continue our forest health leture series with Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station Forest Entomologist, Dr. Carole Cheah, for a conversation focusing on the threat that Hemlock Wooly Adelgid has on our beautiful hemlock trees and our forests as a whole. Dr. Cheah will dive into past treatment measures, research on biocontrols from other parts of the country, and her work with Sasajiscymnus tsugae (Japanese lady beetle) as a biocontrol. She will discuss the efficacy of these beetle releases, why they work, and investigate efforts taken from all ranges of management levels. Don't miss this opportunity to understand how we, as landowners and professionals, can alleviate these stressors to our forests. This event has been approved for 1.0 CEU.
