The 2015 Demand Change Project

Online registration for the Demand Change Project is now closed.

The Breaking Free Demand Change Project brings together local, national, and international leaders and experts in the anti-human trafficking movement for an interactive conference to end the demand for commercial sex.

Political leaders, law enforcement officials, public health representatives, faith community leaders, survivors, and service providers will present keynotes and workshops on topics across a wide spectrum that will appeal to       professionals, students, and community members alike.

Keynote Speakers

Gail Dines
Born and raised in England, Gail Dines received her Ph.D. from the University of Salford, UK. Since arriving in the United States in 1986, Gail has taught at Wheelock College where she is now professor of Sociology and Women’s Studies and chair of the American Studies Department. For over twenty years Gail has been researching and writing about the porn industry and pop culture and has published many articles on such varied topics as the image of women in Hollywood, racism in porn, the hypersexualization of our culture, and the ways images shape our sexuality and our relationships.

Rachel Moran
Rachel Moran was prostituted for seven years in Dublin and other Irish cities, beginning at age 15. At the age of 22, she managed to extricate herself, got on the path to higher education, and gained a degree in journalism from Dublin City University. Moran speaks internationally on prostitution and sex trafficking and works in conjunction with Equality Now, the Coalition Against Trafficking in Women, the European Women’s Lobby, and the Women’s Front of Norway to end the violent exploitation of women and girls.
