Einstein said that we can’t solve a problem at the same level at which it was created. Our despair from the death of a loved one thrusts us out of our previous set of values, and this stage of our development is clearly described in Indian philosophy as a necessary prerequisite (for most people) for the search for truth and higher consciousness.
