Have any of the rest of you ever laid out a beautiful personal budget in January, only to have it going completely off course by March, once again dipping into savings and retirement accounts to cover present-day costs? Ever pondered exactly how the clergy retirement plan works, and how this might affect your own retirement plans? We hope you will join us to take a look at these kinds of issues and questions at our next Conversation on The Partner's Path on February 7, 2022.
(NOTE: We will not gather on Jan 3).
Ardelle Walters will talk with her friend and trusted colleague Grace Longo about financial and emotional self-care for Episcopal clergy families. Guests will benefit from Grace's experience working for Church Pension Group and Ardelle's experience as a wellness educator for CPG.
Grace is a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC). She is also a Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP) and holds a Certification in Long Term Care (CLTC). She is the founder and CEO of GAL financial, a longtime dream which came to fruition as she retired from her work at CPG.
Ardelle is a Licensed Professional Counselor in private practice. As a clergy spouse she is particularly interested in the emotional well-being of clergy and their families. And as a gig worker for CPG, she has had the privilege of collaborating with Grace on multiple projects and conferences for clergy and their spouses.

Also mark your calendars for our March 7 conversation: Thriving As A Clergy Spouse with Johnna Fredrickson. Johnna is the author of How The Other Half Lives: The Challenges Facing Clergy Spouses and Partners, that explores distinctive issues facing Episcopal clergy spouses including worship, careers, housing, rest, relationship, and parenting.
