Sarah Robinson Flick is a psychiatrist, spiritual director, and writer who knows the psychological hazards that can arise in communities of faith, particularly for leaders and their families, as well as the spiritual clarity that is needed to help clergy partners avoid becoming collateral damage in someone else’s faith journey. Join us as she and Cathy Boyd discuss why seemingly small matters can generate intense heat, and how to protect your own sanity when your partner’s workplace is acting out old business.

Now retired from active psychiatry, Sarah brings wisdom honed by a career in community mental health, 15 years offering spiritual direction, specialized training in mind-body medicine, and yoga teacher training focused on inclusivity and accessibility. A sought after Houston-Galveston area retreat facilitator, she hopes to repeat her successful 2019 national retreat in Indiana for women clergy across denominations in summer 2021. She lives in Friendswood and is married to Bob Flick, an Episcopal priest. They have one young adult daughter, Katie and one golden retriever, Scout.
