A Little Bird Told Me NYC

ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN IF YOU LET IT!

ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN IF YOU LET IT! explores the importance of surrounding yourself with the right people. The team you build for your child will become a relationship that lasts for years. Join Marie as she enlightens parents on selecting a acting coach, preparing sides, understanding scripts , building a character, and how to ask the right questions of the casting director. Marie invites acclaimed acting coaches and young Broadway actors to work with the kids in one room as she guides the parents in another. The seminar culminates with parents, children and professionals in one room for a final presentation.

  • Redirecting Your Life
  • Help! My kids has an audition this afternoon and has to learn sides!
  • Film Sides, Commercial Copy, Stage Sides and their differences
  • Understanding  what the ... (dot, dot, dot) means. Literally!
  • How to form a character
  • Understanding scripts
  • Forming friendships (fellow actors are not competition)
  • Empowering Through Knoweldge

Join us as Zach and I tell the tales of reading sides and reviewing scripts in the car, on the subway and over the phone. Share with us in the journey of developing a character and learning how to help you child do so. Hear how Zach landed Mary Poppins and what it takes to be Michael Banks.

Empowering and educating parents to support their children in the development of a professional performing career; that is the goal of inspirational speaker Marie Mascia-Mancl who has developed a series of high brow seminars aimed at introducing parents to the worlds of Broadway and film. A bold hybrid of story telling, career coaching, and multi-media presentation, these conversations inform parents of the do's and don'ts surrounding the business through retelling of life experience. More important than the technicalities, Mancl explores the psychology behind raising a working actor and conveys how to successfully help children achieve their goals as performers. Join Marie and discover how to change your mindset and change your life!

"I knew that my daughter was ready to start her professional acting career but I just didn't know where to begin. I was overwhelmed and frustrated by all of the conflicting information online. Meeting Marie changed everything for us! Her firsthand knowledge of the industry gave me the answers and guidance I needed. Marie's willingness to share her experiences has enabled me to support my daughter throughout the auditioning and casting process. Because of Marie's guidance, we were able to understand how to choose the right agent and get her career started. Not only is Marie an incredible resource, but she's a warm and wonderful person too!" ~Amy Glass
