Strengthening Families through the Protective Factors Framework
A research informed approach by the Center for the Study of Social Policy
Across the country the Strengthening Families framework is being used both within the key systems that govern programs for children and families and as a common framework for aligning practice and approaches across systems.
At its heart, Strengthening Families is about changing how service providers interact with families to support them in building protective factors. Strengthening Families is implemented through small but significant changes in daily practice, supported by shifts at the program level that allow workers to make those changes.

With the increase of electronic and mobile devices, less attention may be given to children at a time when brain development and social emotional bonding are crucial. Attendees will learn about the effects of this trend and discuss ways to change how we use technology around children.
