The Community Conference is a great opportunity to come together as neighborhood and community leaders to share ideas, enhance our communities, and celebrate Orange County's neighborhoods.

Only credit card payments accepted online. Other forms of payment must be mailed or dropped off at the Neighborhood Preservation Office.

County Government 101

If you’ve ever wanted to learn more about your county government, then the Government 101 workshop is for you. This workshop will provide an insightful and informative overview into the structure and organization of key departments and divisions and their roles in your communities. Presentations from Planning, Utilities, and 311 departments will be included.

Understanding the Property Appraisal Process

Come and join us to learn more about Orange County's property appraisal process and how it impacts your home.  Orange County Property Appraiser Rick Singh will lead a discussion on real property valuation and assessment.  Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions about the methods used to appraise property in Orange County.

Warrior Up and Conquer Leadership Burnout 

Remember the days when you led the charge to save the neighborhood? You fought for change and battled threats to the community. Do you still feel the same?  Or has your leadership role left you feeling depleted, depressed and disillusioned? If you answered yes to even one of the 3 Ds of burnout, it’s time to conquer that burnout and reclaim your warrior spirit! Join us for an interactive workshop where you’ll learn techniques to unleash your leadership super powers and vanquish stress from your life.

Code Enforcement from A-Z

This exciting workshop will cover a complete overview of the Code Enforcement Division, including its services and procedures. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and obtain information that will help improve their neighborhood.

Effective Leadership

It’s not just enough to have a title, effective leaders are able to inspire and motivate others to work together for the good of the community.  Come learn from our community’s leaders how you can become more effective. We will learn techniques for leading people, even those difficult ones.

HOA and Condo Legislative Updates 

Join us for this legislative update to find out the most recent changes to the state statutes that regulate property associations.  Also, bring in your burning legal questions pertaining to property associations to get the real answers!  The attorneys presenting this workshop will answer general legal questions regarding property association governance, grievances or appeals processes, official organization records requirements, association/member disputes, reserve funding requirements, how to legally deal with foreclosures, association rules, and more. 

Reducing Crime in Orange County

 Come find out what the Orange County Sheriff's Office is doing to reduce crime in the county. You will also have an opportunity to ask questions about your main concerns.  

Calm Traffic in your Neighborhood

Do you feel like there are too many people speeding in your community? Are you concerned about the safety of your children and the elderly? Come learn about Orange County’s Traffic Calming programs including speed bumps, neighborhood traffic signs & pavement markings. This workshop will demonstrate examples of traffic calming devices and the process it takes to have them installed in your neighborhood. Also, learn what the latest upcoming Traffic Engineering projects are in Orange County. 

Fighting Litter and Trash: Keeping Your Neighborhood Beautiful 

Controlling trash and litter is a quality of life issue that many neighborhood residents face. This workshop will educate you about ways to partner with Orange County Government to combat the problem and inform you of ongoing efforts being taken by your government to combat the problem. Representatives from the Environmental Protection Division, Roads and Drainage Division, and Solid Waste Division will share their expertise to help keep your neighborhood beautiful.

Can your neighborhood’s entranceway use a facelift?  Orange County Neighborhood Pride Grants provide direct funding to support and assist citizens and organizations in improving the physical and social quality of their neighborhoods.  Funding is available in the form of grants to help organizations revitalize and preserve their neighborhoods.

This workshop will show you the common social media platforms to effectively contact your neighbors. Facebook, Nextdoor, Twitter, and Constant Contact/Mailchimp are your friends and are here to help you reach out and touch someone.
