Summer Enrichment Academic Programs

Preparing for High School Algebra (8:30 a.m. - 10:15 a.m.)

For rising 8th and 9th grade students This course is designed to ease the transition into high school mathematics for the students who will be taking Algebra I. It will focus on solving equations, monomials, and polynomials and various topics included in a first year Algebra course.  (Cost $350)

Preparing for High School English (10:20 a.m. - 12:05 p.m.)

For rising 8th and 9th grade students The English course will focus on the fundamentals of writing a five-paragraph essay in MLA format. It will work to develop a student's ability in reading comprehension, writing, grammar and usage skills, and vocabulary. (Cost $350)    

Study Skills for Success  (12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.)

For rising 8th and 9th grade students This course will focus on strategies to help students achieve academic success. Topics covered will include techniques for reading a textbook, outlining, taking notes, studying for tests, and balancing time between academics and extracurricular activities. (Cost $175)
