May 2, 2019 PacNW CPCU Luncheon

Join us for our  Pacific Northwest CPCU Society Chapter luncheon on Thursday, May 2nd at Anthony's on Pier 66  

This course will provide a review of the difference between claims-made versus occurrence based policies. It will provide a review of coverage triggers in claims-made policies, what is a claim, possible dangers or pitfalls in claims-made policies and dealing with coverage gaps.

Cristin A. Cavanaugh concentrates her practice on insurance coverage for personal and commercial lines and bad faith litigation. She defends insurance clients in claims made and suits brought against them in both state and federal court. Cristin is licensed in Washington, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York.

Cristin graduated cum laude from Saint Joseph’s University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. During her undergraduate studies, Cristin participated in the honors program and played Division I Field Hockey. She also received several honors, including Phi Beta Kappa, Pi Sigma Alpha, Phi Sigma Tau and NFHCA National Academic Squad.

Cristin earned her juris doctor from Syracuse University College of Law, graduating cum laude. During her time in Law School, Cristin served as the form & accuracy editor for the Journal of International Law & Commerce and the associate editor for the Syracuse Science & Technology Law Reporter. Cristin was also awarded the Cali Award for Medical Malpractice.

Prior to joining Soha & Lang, Cristin practiced at a large law firm located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Cristin concentrated her practice on insurance coverage and bad faith litigation. She also has experience defending clients in cases involving general liability, subrogation, trucking litigation, insurance defense litigation, family law and workers’ compensation.

Cristin has presented seminars on Pennsylvania Bad Faith Litigation and property law. She is also an active volunteer in the Junior League of Seattle. In her spare time, Cristin enjoys spending time with her family, friends and dog.
