Diversity abounds in the planning environment. Issues of race, culture, language, and gender can divide us or be the foundations for building bridges that make the community planning process more effective and our communities stronger. This session examines some of the changing demographic and diversity trends in California and the importance of having the profession respond with new paradigms for planning practice which reflect the planner's ethical commitment to social justice and ethical planning practice.
