Safe Reopening Discussion and Workshop

As our state and region reopen, community organizations, non-profits, and churches, as well as for-profit enterprises share a responsibility to exemplify safe behaviors and to develop policies and protocols that ensure the safety of the communities in which they operate.  To support community partners as they work towards these goals, the UM-Detroit Center, The Ginsberg Center, and the UM School of Social Work are hosting a safe reopening workshop.

The discussion and workshop will focus on how organizations and communities can re-open without putting people at increased risk of catching the virus and provide you an opportunity for you to discuss your concerns, hopes, and goals.

Among the topics we will discuss are
Developing rules and procedures to keep people safe
- Communicating to your staff and communities
- Identifying opportunities: how new technologies can help you achieve your goals

Please, click below to RSVP.  On the link, you can also ask questions or raise concerns in advance of the workshop.

The workshop will be hosted by Dr. Scott Page from UM Ross,  who created a re-opening toolkit that will be the basis for the workshop.
