APPLY: Youth Code Jam Programming and Advanced Math Summer Intensive
Apply to Youth Code Jam's week-long summer intensive for programmers and mathematically talented middle and high school students held at St. Mary’s University. During our time together, you will encounter new ideas, improve problem-solving and computational skills, learn lots and lots of coding and math (the two really do go hand in hand), and hone your overall thinking skills. You'll meet others like you who share your interests.
Our camp is open to young men and women who are interested in diving deep. You don’t have to have super human skills, just an insatiable curiosity about computing and math and enthusiasm in your approach to learning. And you have to have completed Algebra 1 with a B or higher. If you are advanced, there’s more to learn. And, if you are not quite a master yet, we’ll help get you there. We just need your brain to be on when you get to camp each morning. We can totally work with that.
About our camp:
July 18-22, 2016
9 am to 4 pm daily
In the mornings, we'll cover computer programming in C. Afternoons will be immersed in mathematical problem solving and thinking to strengthen your skill set.
Cost: $350
Tuition includes all materials, camper t-shirt and snacks. Students may bring their own lunch or have the option to purchase a box lunch for an additional $50. Students will receive a $50 early application discount if online payment is made by May 30.
Scholarships
Youth Code Jam will award partial scholarships for students with financial need. If you are interested in applying for a scholarship, simply check the appropriate box on the application. If you qualify for free lunch, please email debi@sacodejam.org and we will provide a code to waive the $10 application fee.
