London's iconic live music & jazz venue 606 Club partners with Chelsea Theatre on Kings Road to present a series of Sunday early evening pop up events in the theatre's intimate café space.
Our first night will feature singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Anoushka Lucas, who played at the first ever Love Supreme Festival in 2013 produced by UK's premier digital radio station Jazz FM and Serious as the winner of Jazz FM's "Discovery" competition.
Anoushka's first EP released in 2009 showcased her terrific, pure and characterful voice, serving as a springboard for a more adventurous second EP, released in 2011, entitled "Left to my Own Devices" what featured her inventive, musical and witty compositions. At the same time she started to collaborate with playwright Che Walker, which has led to her working as a composer on a number of productions with him, as well as artists such as Omar and legendary producer Stephen Rinkoff.
In a style that has been described as "sultry, sensual and sassy" this incredibly talented artist, who plays piano and guitar in addition to singing, will be performing in a duo format in keeping with the acoustic nature of the room.
"When first watching her perform, it was clear to all that she had a natural and rich talent and was confident enough in it to just simply…. sing! She has a beautiful tone to her voice" Neil Cowley (Love Supreme);
“[Anoushka Lucas] you just get the sense there is real creativity going on...she's got it all" Nigel Williams, Jazz FM
