Inaugural Luncheon for the Women in Defense (WID) Greater Boston Chapter

The NDIA New England Chapter is proud to announce the inaugural networking luncheon for the new Women In Defense (WID) Greater Boston Chapter. The purpose of WID Greater Boston Chapter is to provide opportunities throughout the year for its members to meet, learn, and grow. WID-GBC also provides development and mentorship opportunities that ensure America’s future has a vanguard of talented and devoted women serving our national security mission in government, private, and national community service positions. WID-GBC serves the Greater Boston Market including Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island. 

Keynote Speaker - Dr. Bernadette Johnson

Dr. Bernadette Johnson is the Chief Science Officer of the Defense Innovation Unit Experimental (DIUx). DIUx focuses on accelerating commercial innovation for the Department of Defense. As CSO, her primary responsibilities are the development of a multi-disciplinary technology corps to provide support to the DIUx strategic portfolio areas. Prior to joining DIUx in 2016, she was the Chief Technology Officer at MIT Lincoln Laboratory. Her responsibilities included the development of the Laboratory’s long-term technology strategy.
