Raising Children Who Are Grounded, Generous and Smart about Money
Ron Lieber
From first allowances to saving for that six figure college education, children develop knowledge and habits about money that will impact the rest of their lives.
How can we as parents guide and develop their financial literacy for a lifetime of financial well-being?
Ron Lieber, financial columnist for the New York Times and author of The Opposite of Spoiled: Raising Kids Who Are Grounded, Generous and Smart About Money, will suggest ways to imprint financial lessons throughout childhood and develop the character traits needed for financial responsibility in young adults.
Ron Lieber has been the “Your Money” columnist for The New York Times since 2008, where his columns
about student financial aid won the 2011 Loeb award in the personal finance category. Before the NYTimes he wrote the “Green Thumb” column for The Wall Street Journal’s Money. He has written articles, columns, blog posts, and co-authored books for young entrepreneurs, and about kids, money, values and families.
