Volunteers for Vacation Bible School, June 27-30, 2016

VOLUNTEERS: To help make this year's VBS a true success in ministry and service, adult and teen volunteers are greatly needed. Teen volunteers must be rising 7th-graders and older and have a medical release form signed by a parent or guardian. Please download the form, complete and return with you on the first day of camp. Adult volunteers will need to have a back-ground check completed through their affiliated church.

Click the Register a Volunteer Now! button below to volunteer. Those wishing to help but not affiliated with any of the above churches may contact: Jill Wingard, VBS Volunteer Coordinator, at Grace Lutheran Church 828-693-4890 ext.344 or email: jwingard@gracehendersonville.com

During VBS week, no-cost nursery care will be provided for children of volunteers only.

OPEN TO THE COMMUNITY: Joy in Jesus VBS is sponsored by five area churches that are a part of Henderson County Churches Uniting (Trinity Presbyterian, Grace Lutheran, Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Providence Baptist and St. James Episcopal). Through the support of these five churches and HCCU, this year's VBS is no-cost.

Key Bible Verse: “The joy from the Lord is your strength.” ~Nehemiah 8:10

Joy in Jesus: Everywhere! All the Time! will help all of God’s children – girls, boys, young and old – understand that healing and happiness go hand in hand and that whether on a roof, under a roof, in an upper room or a room without a roof, joy is found in the mighty works of God through Jesus Christ. They will better understand God’s promise in the overall Scripture, “The joy from the Lord is your strength.” (Nehemiah 8:10)

Campers will be encouraged to bring a daily offering which will benefit the Henderson County Boys and Girls Club. Each day a specific item will be requested for donation such as sunscreen, towels and school supplies. Campers may also bring in monetary donations.

On Thursday, the final day of VBS, we will have a water slide and ice cream party, campers should bring their own picnic lunch - family members are welcome too!

It's going to be an adventure!
