The Libraries’ Role in Community Well-Being
This 2-day event will focus on community well-being and libraries as social connectors.
March 12, 2020: 9:00am - 8:00pm*, includes dinner with guest speaker Rolf Hapel
March 13, 2020: 8:30am - 4:00pm*

Target Audience:
- Public library directors in Idaho
- A public library could send an assistant director or other administrator in the place of the library director
Event Goals:
- To support a connected network of public library directors
- To understand the role of the library in a community's well-being
- To evaluate library services and plan for the future
Engaging Topics:
- Outcome-based evaluation tools
- Libraries as social connectors
- Creating a transition notebook
- Best practices toolkit
- Developing community engagement around uncomfortable topics
ICfL will provide:
- Travel - Airfare or mileage costs reimbursed to participants traveling from more than 50 miles from the event site.
- Lodging - Up to 3 nights for participants traveling from more than 50 miles from the event site.
- Meals and Refreshments - Lunch, snacks and dinner on Thursday, March 12. Snacks plus lunch on Friday, March 13. Participants staying at the Oxford Suites Hotel will have breakfast provided by the hotel.
