The Bipartisan Budget act of 2015 changed the rules for some key social security claiming strategies. Mary Beth Franklin, CFP, will speak about the rule changes and their implications on claiming strategies, and how financial planners can help clients navigate these decisions to maximize benefits. In addition, Mary Beth will present case studies to illustrate how advisers can put these strategies to work for clients.
About Our Speaker
Mary Beth Franklin is a frequent public speaker addressing both financial industry and consumer groups on critical retirement topics such as Social Security claiming strategies, tax-efficient withdrawals, income security, career transitions and retiree health costs. An award-winning journalist and Certified Financial Planner, Ms. Franklin joined InvestmentNews as a Contributing Editor in January 2012. She writes a weekly retirement column and blogs about Social Security for her audience of financial advisors. She is also the author of Maximizing Your Social Security Retirement Benefits ebook.
