Overview:   Anyone thinking about serving food and drink to the public, whether it’s a full-service restaurant or a small local coffee shop, needs to understand the basics of operating a successful establishment. This is a 3 hour introductory course covering the basics of starting a restaurant.

Taught by SCORE professional Leland Dear, who has over 33 years of business experience.

He has 14 years experience building, operating and selling 6-9 profitable restaurants in the SF Bay Area, from San Leandro to El Sobrante, CA. His restaurants consistently exceeded national averages for sales, sale comparisons and profit. He was President of the Marketing COOP company for 64 restaurants, from Gilroy to Ukiah, and on the Zone counsel for Franchisor for the 64 restaurants, among many other committees.
