Most small business owners know that getting online is important, but don't know where to even start. This workshop, presented by Google and SCORE,  is a crash course on what it means to get online and create the digital storefront that allows your business to thrive.

Surviving and Thriving as a Small Business in the Internet Era

This workshop focuses on DOING, not just learning. Attendees of the workshop will come out with a tangible presence on Google, Facebook, and Yelp. Additionally, we will discuss creating a website, Instagram Business Pages, and finish with some open time to discuss any other technologies the attendees would like to explore. 

Attendees are asked to please bring their laptops and/or smart phones to complete exercises and get the most from the experience.

Taught by Google SMB Market Development Specialist Kristine Rhodes and SMB Evangelist Bryan Solar

Bryan Solar currently works at Google, where he focuses on SMB Product Development and Research. Bryan began his career in Strategy Consulting before starting Main Street Partners a business that focused on turnaround and rapid growth projects for Small Businesses in urban areas. He then attended Stanford Business School, before starting Range Communications a company that was eventually acquired by Google.
As a three time entrepreneur and the 3rd generation small business founder, Bryan is passionate about helping Small Businesses grow and compete in the increasingly digital world.

Kristine studied Business at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo. After Graduation she moved up to San Francisco to work at a health care start up called Collective Health. Now she is on Bryan's team at Google as a SMB Market Development Specialist.
