Oksana Marafioti is the author of American Gypsy: A Memoir, a vivid and humorous account of growing up in the Soviet Union.  For Oksana, this meannt touring with her family of well-known Gypsy musicians and dancers from the Baltic Sea to the Siberian Tundra.  It also meant enduring discrimination by Soviet society.  At 15 years old, she moved to the United States and met an entirely new set of challenges as she acclimatized to her new surroundings.  Please join Oksana for an evening of authentic Gypsy music and dance.  Accompanied by her Troupe of Gypsy entertainers, she will let us into the world of the Roma!
