The Governor's Office for Children & Families Educators' Conference

Motivate, Innovate, Integrate: The Governor's Office for Children & Families Educators' Conference will bring together some of the best known speakers, trainers and educators in youth development, abstinence education, prevention and more to provide you with a high quality, interactive and engaging conference experience that allows you to take back achievable practices that will foster positive outcomes in the children and youth you serve.

This three day conference will include Yvonne Harvey Willams, David Mahan, Ron Clark and many other locally, regionally and nationally known presenters, unmatched reflection and networking opportunities, exhibitors with resources, information and merchandise and a special hands-on experience that will bridge theory and practice to give you tools you can take back to incorporate into your program...and so much more! 

CONFERENCE DETAILS

The regular conference runs from 1 pm on Wednesday, November 30 until 5 pm on Friday, December 2. Regular registration is $50 per person and covers all regular conference materials and breakfast, lunch and breaks on Thursday & Friday.  Check out the red box to the left for more information!

PRE-CONFERENCE EVENT

 A special pre-conference event "Youth Development Café" will take place from 9 am until 12 pm on Wednesday, November 30.  Pre-conference and conference registration is $75 per person and covers all pre- and regular conference materials and breakfast, lunch and breaks on Wednesday, Thursday & Friday.

The Youth Development Café will allow you to meet your community of educators and experience the power of conversations that matter. Join us for a morning of collaborative dialogue, mutual knowledge-sharing and the discovery of new opportunities for action. Set in a café style context, you will experience a tool for developing a culture of inquiry in your programs and communities by participating in evolving rounds of information exchange around critical questions that catalyze our collective intelligence, promote new relationships, and foster collaborative learning.

HOTEL INFORMATION

Hotel rooms at the Atlanta Marriott Century Center are available for $110/night plus tax by clicking here or calling  800-228-9290 and referencing "GOCF Educators' Conference". Rooms are available on a first come, first served basis. The deadline for hotel rooms has passed, so the rate is no longer guaranteed, but the Marriott has agreed to honor the rate until rooms are sold out.

Registration is open until Friday, November 18 at 5 pm or until capacity is reached, whichever comes first. Don't miss out on this amazing event!
