Boulder Mountain Handmade 2016

Apply Now!

For over 40 years the Boulder Mountain Fire Protection District Auxiliary has sponsored Boulder Mountain Handmade to raise funds for our fire district. Funds from the event provide equipment, education, and provisions for our volunteer fire fighters. We hope you will consider participating and share this information with other artists and crafters with whom you have contact.

As our name implies, this art, craft and bake sale is known throughout the region for its focus on handmade and original items created by local artisans. This year's event will be held at the Elks Lodge in Boulder.

BMH features...

  • A variety of space choices…we have 8' x 8' spaces, 8' x 10' spaces, and 10' x 10' spaces available. Two artists may share any of the booth options.
  • Ample parking…the Elks Lodge provides easy customer access to our sale and provides plenty of free parking for the event.
  • Boulder-wide marketing...to bring in a bigger customer base and help artists increase sales.
  • Creative displays…artists bring in their own equipment for display allowing them to be as creative as they like in showcasing their work.
  • Minimal fees...artists keep 100% of their profits during the sale…the space fee is our only fee helping us to raise funds for Boulder Mountain Fire Protection District. Booths spaces are $200, $240, or $270 for one artist, and $300, $360, or $405 for shared spaces, depending on the size booth selected. There is no application fee. Artists are responsible for cashiering their own sales.
  • On-site access to artists...artists (or their designated agents) are present for the duration of the sale, inviting customers to personally interact with the creators of the work exhibited.
  • Craft items must be handmade and photography and artwork must be original. This year we will be accepting vendors with homemade foods and non-alcoholic beverages, such as jams, candies, and tea.

The application will outline how and what to submit for the jury process. We will review applications as they are submitted and respond within two weeks once the process is complete. Artists who are accepted for participation at BMH have 10 business days after acceptance to register and reserve their space.

We are very grateful to have so many talented artisans in our area and look forward to hearing from you. Your participation allows us to support our fire fighters throughout the year. If you have questions, this link to Frequently Asked Questions will help, or give me a call.
