This popular STEAM challenge class is back for a 3rd year. It is hands-on, fun, and engaging! During the session, engineers will solve several problems. One of the problems that students will be faced with is building a roller coaster. It's been a huge hit in my 2nd grade classroom! Depending on time during this session, we'll work on 3-5 different challenges that are different from last year.
Students will use technology to investigate and research ideas, work collaboratively and think critically with a partner and in a small group to draw a design and put it in place. Students will test out their design and communicate ways to improve it. This STEAM class will be sure to inspire all future engineers! You'll get to see the building going on in class once in a daily e-newsletter that includes photos and video. At the end of the session, students will bring home a Summer STEAM packet with challenges they can do during the summer.
