Lighting design for Themed Entertainment Environments combines architectural and theatrical lighting with a story, a themed show set, human and animatronic actors, sound, music and a timeline to create a permanent installation. Visual Terrain Co-owners Lisa Passamonte Green and David Green, who share themed entertainment backgrounds that include EPCOT, Tokyo Disneyland, Disneyland, Euro Disneyland, Universal Studios in Hollywood and Orlando, and Universal's Islands of Adventure, as well as other theme parks in Asia, Europe, Australia, and the Middle East, discuss the similarities and differences of themed and non-themed environments.
