Preventing Fraud - Reduce Risk and Save Money with a Few Key Controls 

According to the Economist's Global Fraud Report for 2013-2014, the level of fraud increased by every measure in the past 12 months. Overall, 70% of companies reported suffering from at least one type of fraud in the past year, up from 61% in the previous poll.

We see evidence locally in Ottawa that supports these observations. For example in a news report this past August, Ottawa Police indicated that there are so many fraud complaints, they can't follow-up on all of them.
