If you said yes, then sign up for Advanced Memoir: Get Your Memoir Done with Alice Osborn where you’ll have in-class writing exercises and generous feedback from teacher Alice Osborn to help you construct your memoir and give it a strong foundation. Move forward in the direction you want to go by creating a memoir that will dazzle your readers using the Hero’s Journey and turning points and solid theme.
While we’re together, we’ll also read This Boy’s Life by Tobias Wolff. (Suggested reading: The Art of Memoir by Mary Karr). This workshop is best-suited for writers who have previous writing experience or who have been working on their memoirs.
Participants bring their own lunch. Your tuition includes a 10-min accountability phone chat plus a two page edit.
If you’d like Alice to deep edit your memoir pages during the class, consider purchasing the $375 editing package (valued at $800).

Any refunds will incur an administrative fee of 50% of the workshop fee or will receive a full credit toward a future workshop if cancelled more than 5 days before the workshop. Cancellations made one to five business days before the workshop forfeit the entire tuition or will receive a 50% credit toward a future workshop. No shows and cancellations made the day of the event (or after) forfeit the entire tuition and any future credit.
