Join us at Wonderland Book Club as we welcome Brenda Bartella Peterson, author of No Rehearsal: A Memoir. Formerly of Raleigh, Brenda now lives in Lexington, 
Kentucky, where she is a much sought-after speaker.
This memoir takes readers through the author’s fourteen elementary schools, twenty-six houses, three states, and inept, quirky parents. Her father married nine times. Her mother married four. They married each other three times. The characters in this drama are real—imperfect, complex, sad and funny.
Raising her siblings was background research for the extraordinary demands of parenting, widowhood, the loss of one son and her older son's attempt to take his own life. With tenacity, friendships and accountability as her guides, she struggled to figure out what matters, who matters and whether she matters.
Brenda has been a teacher, speaker, mother, mentor, minister and political operative. She was the Executive Director of the first religious-left political action committee and the first Senior Advisor for Religious Outreach for the Democratic National Committee.
