Give yourself the gift of a full day to dive into memoir writing—the story of your life.
In the morning, Alice Osborn will lead a comprehensive workshop that answers the question: we all have a story to tell, but how can we make it compelling enough so that others will want to read it?
After lunch, you’ll have the opportunity to write for three uninterrupted hours in the afternoon on the work you accomplished in the morning, or on continuing pages you brought with you.
Capping off the afternoon will be an open mic with moderated feedback provided by Alice. This workshop/retreat is facilitated by published author and workshop leader, Alice Osborn, who has been teaching memoir for over a decade locally and internationally.
Your retreat host is Lynda Chambers, award-winning visual artist and poet. All participants will leave with several new pages in this creative, yet casual atmosphere.
Note: This retreat is best suited for intermediate writers. How do you know if you're an intermediate writer? If you have been setting aside dedicated time to write each week, if you have publicly shared your work with others and if you have taken other classes and workshops with a writing instructor. Prior publication is NOT required.
