One Day Women’s Writing Retreat with a Focus on Poetry - Celebrate National Poetry Month! 

Give yourself the gift of a full day to dive into poetry writing exercises in the morning followed by three hours of uninterrupted writing time. Capping off the afternoon will be an open mic with moderated feedback.

Even if you’re a fiction or memoir writer, poetry will help you discover a fresh insight into an old idea by performing acrobatics with your words. You just might learn something cool about yourself!

The poetry workshop will be facilitated by published poet and poetry workshop leader, Alice Osborn. All participants will leave with several poems in this creative, yet casual atmosphere. Using many classic and contemporary poems as inspiration, the in-class writing exercises, road-tested prompts and gentle feedback from Alice will help you generate memorable poetry using all of your senses. Alice is an award-winning poet and mentor who has guided scores of poets on the path to publication.

All writing levels and genres welcome on this retreat.

The Location: Private home in North Raleigh (you’ll receive the directions once your registration is complete)
