Description: So, it's time for you to knit your first sweater, and since it’s summer, let’s make it cool! In this class, you’ll knit a straightforward top-down tee-shirt style sweater. You’ll read through the pattern in class, so you understand how the magic will happen. You’ll learn the secrets of stitch marker placement (and why it really matters!), and have a choice of bottom shaping. This pattern looks pretty in solids or variegated colorways, so pick something you love, and get ready to knit!
Materials: Yarn: for chest measurement 34 (36, 39, 43, 45, 48), bring 800 (800, 1000, 1000, 1200, 1200) yards of worsted-weight yarn (we suggest cotton, linen or blends of either for summer). Needles: Circulars, 32”, 1 set each of US size 6 and 7; and EITHER 1 set each 16” size 6 and 7 OR 1 set each DPNs, size 6 and 7.
Homework: None for first session.
