Next Steps in Knitting: Hat or Cowl!

Level: Intermediate beginner: student should be able to cast on, bind off, knit and purl.

Maximum number of students:  Five

Description:  So, it's time for you to move on from the basics! In this class, you can choose to knit a cowl (knit flat) or a hat (knit in the round). Adding elements to your basic design, such as lace or cables, will be introduced. Never knit in the round before? Here's your chance to learn if you wish! Topics such as hoosing the right cast-on (and bind off), making design elements work for your project, and finishing tricks for your items will be covered, among others! 

Matierials:  Please bring 200 yards of smooth, light-colored worsted-weight yarn and size eight needles straight (cowl) or 16" circular (hat) for first session.

Homework: None for first session.
